East Midlands Synod
The United Reformed Church has joined the Churches’ Mutual Credit Union (CMCU), enabling ministers, elders and congregations to invest savings in it, funding affordable loans to people who might otherwise have to use payday lenders.

At the Synod meeting held on 19 March 2016 a report was considered about the ending of vacancy relief.
After full debate and consideration Synod passed the following resolution by consensus -
Synod approves that Vacancy Relief be terminated in the East Midlands, with effect from 31 December 2016.
