Fresh Expressions started in 2004 as an initiative of the Church of England and the Methodist Church. The URC formally  joined the movement in 2010. It aims to help Christians of any denomination think about ways of starting and growing fresh expressions of church in their area. A fresh expression is a form of church for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church.
